Switch to TLS certificates with us and save money

The DigiCert CA supports customers transitioning from another certification authority and motivates them with a discount of up to 25% to obtain a new certificate. This marketing program is called Competitive Replacement and you can use it through us.
Transferring the certificate is easy and the discount applies to everyone
Any TLS certificate that you use publicly and that comes from selected certification authorities can be transferred to DigiCert. Their list, which can be found here, is extensive and includes all major competing CAs. If your certificate was issued by another certification authority, the transition is only possible under individual conditions (see the last paragraph).
The discount you can get for a new certificate depends on the type of certificate ordered from us. The following table explains each type of verification and the discount you can get. The discount also applies to multi-year orders, without restriction; with them, you can save even more!
- Switching to a DV certificate = 5% discount
- Switching to an OV certificate = 10% discount
- Switching to an EV certificate = 15% discount
When you switch to the premium Secure Site certificate, you will get an additional 10% discount!
You will not lose the validity of the original certificate
When switching to CA DigiCert, you can get up to 6 months validity from the original certificate that you are "leaving". In addition, this validity is added based on the existing competing certificate’s expiration and you will receive it automatically. You do not have to worry about anything.
How to switch certificate to SSLmarket and DigiCert
All you need to do is order any TLS certificate from our offer and it will be ordered for the same domain (CN) as the current certificate which you want to leave in favor of DigiCert. In the last step of the order, you select the current certification authority that issued it.
We will then accept the order, check it, and if nothing is amiss, we will apply a discount and after paying for the order, we will have a certificate issued by DigiCert. Any remaining validity will then be automatically added by DigiCert.
If you have a certificate order for several years, you will receive renewed certificates every year for 397 days until the expiration of the entire order, which you can see in your customer administration.
