What is X9 PKI?
X9 PKI is a professional solution for managing digital certificates and cryptographic keys designed as a secure alternative to the classic webPKI model. It allows organizations to take full control over the trustworthiness of certificates and eliminate reliance on public certificate authorities (WebPKI). X9 PKI is the ideal choice for the financial sector, and the entire PKI is backed by DigiCert, the world's largest CA. X9 is also the only option to obtain a certificate with public trustworthiness (PKI) with Client Authentication EKU. This extension is no longer part of WebPKI.
